ホストファミリーと濃い時間を過ごした土日も終わり、本日は月曜日です。

週末はどんなことをして過ごしたのでしょうか。生徒の日誌を見てみましょう。

●3日目(金)

In the second period, I participated in a Physics class with my host brother. It was very difficult to understand what the teacher said, but it was still a lot of fun. - Reported by Issei YAMAZAKI

I went to the city centre with Riccarton students. They showed us around the city. I enjoyed talking with them and was happy to take pictures with them. In addition, I was really happy to talk with people who I first met. - Reported by Myu YAMAGUCHI

●4日目(土)

After lunch, my host family took me to a shooting activity. All the things I saw there were new and amazing. The distance was 300 yards, so we used sniper rifles. The shock was also amazing. I will never forget this experience. - Reported by Taichi IGARASHI

During the weekend, I joined a camping activity. On Saturday, I tried ice-skating for the first time. It was a little scary, but I really enjoyed it. - Reported by Saki YAMAMOTO

●5日目(日)

My host family took me to many places like a shopping mall, a restaurant, a park, and a museum. At the restaurant, it was my second time to order food by myself. I was still a little nervous, but it went more smoothly than the first time! I think my English skills are improving thanks to my host family. - Reported by Hiyori AOKI

I tried Christchurch Gondola with my host family. I could see sheep, beaches, and the city. There was a simple attraction in the building where you can learn about the history of New Zealand. It was a lot of fun. - Reported by Yuna TSUCHIYAMA

さて、本日月曜日です。朝から快晴で、登校時の気温はなんとマイナス2℃でした。

今日は、1〜5限まで授業に参加します。

1限目は日本語の授業に参加。現地生徒が考えたアクティビティに参加しました。外に出てアクティビティをする場面も！楽しさで寒さを忘れていました。

ちなみに、ニュージーランドにはMorning Tea Timeという文化があり、2限目の授業が終わったあと、30分の大休みを挟むんです！生徒はおやつを食べたり、スポーツをしたり、お話をしたりと、リフレッシュして午前中後半の授業に向かいます。

ランチはリカトン高校に入学中の生徒と共にとりました。日本人の生徒もおり、長期留学のよさなどを共有してくれました。

午後はYear 9(日本の中学1年生)の生徒との日本語の授業。お箸を使ったゲームやひらがなのかるたで交流しました。

明日は、授業を2コマ受けた後、ウィローバンク野生動物保護地区に行きます。
